This landmark event was made possible through our exceptional partnerships with Veto Kiti Larnaka and Dream Team Nicosia, bringing resources and support to the Kofinou Reception Center community.

The heart of our event was an impactful wellbeing workshop led by Irene Che - a force for positive change:

* Specialist Consultant & Expert Advisor for Step Up Stop Slavery
* Project Officer & Cultural Mediator at SYNTHESIS Centre for Research and Education
* Chair of Step Up Stop Slavery Survivors of Trafficking Advisory Council
* Sought-after speaker at the Cyprus Forum, Youth in Migration conference, and international events
* Speaker on mental health awareness raising.
### Mental Health Focus Group Discussion
Irene’s workshop broke new ground by:
* Defining key mental health challenges in accessible terms
* Sharing her personal journey through difficult times
* Demonstrating the strength in seeking help
* Creating a safe space for open dialogue
The discussion resonated deeply with all participants, inspiring meaningful conversations and connection.

Hosting this event in Kofinou - home to Cyprus’ well-known reception center for asylum seekers - allowed us to bring resources directly to a community that can benefit most.
